Andrew Fox appointed General Manager for HPE Networking ANZ
Andrew Fox has been appointed as General Manager for HPE Networking in Australia and New Zealand.
Fox, who steps into the new leadership role with immediate effect, will be responsible for developing business strategy, overseeing sales and operations, and enhancing customer and partner relationships across both markets. His remit covers ongoing expansion of HPE Networking's regional presence and the accelerated adoption of its secure, AI-focused networking products.
With over nine years of experience at HPE Networking, Fox has held key positions including Country Manager for New Zealand beginning in 2016, and, more recently, interim head for Australia and New Zealand since May 2024. His leadership in the region has coincided with a period of frequent double-digit growth for the New Zealand operation, culminating in record-breaking results in 2023. Between 2017 and 2022, the company's New Zealand business regularly exceeded market growth rates.
Leadership moment
Commenting on his new appointment, Fox described the opportunity as an important step in his career and for the organisation in the region. He highlighted the recent integration of Juniper Networks and HPE Aruba Networking as a foundation for further value delivery to enterprise clients.
"I'm proud to step into this role and excited about the opportunity to build on the strong foundation we have in Australia and New Zealand," said Andrew Fox, General Manager, Australia and New Zealand at HPE Networking. "With the integration of Juniper Networks and HPE Aruba Networking, we are uniquely positioned to deliver unmatched end-to-end value for our customers. As we enter the next era of networking, my focus will be on accelerating local customer success while strengthening our partnerships to drive long-term business growth. Through our secure, AI-native networking solutions, I am confident that we will be able to empower businesses to innovate faster, modernise their operations and drive significant impact."
Fox's leadership will also involve working closely with the company's regional partners as a key part of his growth strategy for Australia and New Zealand. The statement from HPE Networking emphasised that Fox's strategic perspective and commitment to customer outcomes would be critical in accelerating the company's ambitions.
Track record
Under Fox's leadership, the New Zealand business delivered consistent double-digit expansion year after year from 2017 through 2022, with a record-breaking performance in 2023. This growth is attributed to his customer-centric approach and the ability to implement strategies aligned with organisational objectives and the local market environment.
The integration of assets and solutions from Juniper Networks and HPE Aruba Networking is part of the company's broader plan to offer a comprehensive portfolio tailored to evolving enterprise needs, particularly those relating to AI and secure connectivity. Fox's appointment comes at a time when many organisations across Australia and New Zealand are focusing on modernising their operations and strengthening IT infrastructure to support new ways of working.
Strategic focus
The company reiterated that Fox's "proven track record, combined with his customer-first mindset and strategic vision, positions him to accelerate HPE Networking's growth and innovation in the Australia and New Zealand market."
HPE Networking stated that Fox will lead efforts not only to increase the regional footprint, but also to help local organisations modernise their networks as they adopt more AI-driven and cloud-centric operational models. As the transition to AI-native networking solutions picks up pace, Fox will focus on driving both customer and partner collaborations to benefit a wide range of industries in both countries.
Fox's appointment as General Manager is effective immediately.
