Libertas launches as major SAP partner in Australia & New Zealand
Libertas has launched as one of the largest independent SAP partners in Australia and New Zealand following acquisitions backed by private equity firm LVP.
The group's formation comes after the acquisitions of Tambla Business Services, Silfen and Libertas, all of which now operate under the rebranded Libertas name. This new entity provides customers with end-to-end SAP services that span advisory, procurement, implementation, and managed support functions.
Service offering
Libertas delivers services across the SAP lifecycle, including S/4HANA transition, reporting and analytics, payroll, and ongoing SAP support. The company's teams are located in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, and their client portfolio includes organisations in government, infrastructure, education, manufacturing, and services sectors.
The SAP services landscape in Australia and New Zealand is undergoing notable changes with many organisations preparing for S/4HANA migration and a broader transition to cloud-based SAP models. Libertas positions itself as an independent alternative to global system integrators, offering flexibility and depth of expertise in SAP transformations.
Industry positioning
Libertas has stated its intention to be a partner of choice for customers with complex SAP needs. The group's Chief Executive Officer, Chris Fydler, said:
Libertas is built to be the trusted partner for customers navigating complex SAP transformations. By combining the strengths of three specialist businesses, we have the depth of expertise and scale to deliver outcomes that larger global integrators often struggle to match.
The business' foundation arises as the mandatory SAP S/4HANA migration approaches, creating widespread demand for partners specialised in these transitions. The shift toward cloud-based SAP deployments has further increased the need for local expertise and managed services support.
Customer focus
Libertas also seeks to retain the customer intimacy and flexibility of its predecessor firms while offering a larger platform and broader capabilities. Jeff Lewis, Libertas Founder, commented:
As part of the Libertas group, we can accelerate innovation and delivery while keeping customer intimacy at the core. Customers will benefit from a broader capability set and the strength of a larger platform, without losing the focus and flexibility they value.
The company's stated approach is to remain independent of global integrators, allowing it to span the full customer lifecycle in the SAP ecosystem. With SAP relying on partners to localise and deliver its product suite, Libertas aims to support clients throughout their SAP journeys, from initial advisory through to long-term managed services.
Libertas' focus on government, infrastructure, education, manufacturing, and services signals its commitment to providing tailored solutions across multiple sectors. The group's national presence is intended to address varied SAP requirements for both the public and private sectors across Australia and New Zealand.
As organisations continue to migrate towards S/4HANA and cloud SAP models, the newly established Libertas group expects its broader scale, technical knowledge and independent positioning in the market will appeal to organisations seeking alternatives to larger global system integrators.
