Ping Identity appoints Daniel Gardner ANZ sales director
Ping Identity has announced the appointment of Daniel Gardner as Sales Director for Australia and New Zealand.
Daniel Gardner, who is based in Sydney, brings more than 15 years of experience in IT sales, having spent over a decade specialising in identity. In his new role, Gardner will focus on expanding the presence of the Ping Identity Platform among public and private sector organisations across Australia and New Zealand.
Gardner returns to Ping Identity after having previously served the company for four years in the capacity of Account Executive, where he assisted organisations in delivering secure digital experiences to both their workforce and end customers.
Prior to rejoining Ping Identity, Gardner was Regional Sales Manager – Major Accounts with CrowdStrike in Sydney, where he managed a number of the firm's largest regional accounts. This role saw him working closely with enterprises to address a range of security challenges.
Gardner's professional background also includes five years at Telstra in several sales positions. During his time with Telstra Purple, he supported customers in the financial services and public sectors with consulting and professional services in networking and security. These roles helped establish his credentials in supporting clients with complex digital identity and protection requirements.
Earlier, Gardner spent six years at RSA Security as an Account Manager. His responsibilities there included working across a range of sectors, such as financial services, the public sector and the resources industry, operating out of both Sydney and Perth.
Leadership views
Ashley Diffey, Vice President Australia and New Zealand at Ping Identity, said, "We are incredibly excited to welcome Daniel back to Ping Identity. Daniel's extensive network, infectious energy and his experience accelerating growth in security sales makes him a perfect fit for Ping Identity and in supporting our customers in their identity transformation."
Gardner's reappointment is expected to assist Ping Identity in strengthening its market momentum in the region as organisations across both sectors continue to focus on secure digital identity management solutions.
The company pointed to Gardner's significant experience in the identity domain and his recent success with major security accounts as important factors in his return.
Gardner's perspective
Daniel Gardner added, "I'm excited to be back at Ping Identity. I've been genuinely impressed with the recent innovations and the future roadmap. The ANZ team, in particular, has so much runway for growth, and I can't wait to play my part in helping our customers, both new and existing, create incredible identity experiences for their customers and employees."
Gardner's responsibilities will include further developing customer relationships and supporting organisations as they evolve their digital security strategies to address ongoing threats and changing regulatory requirements.
Ping Identity continues to focus on identity solutions for large organisations, offering services designed to secure digital experiences and address broader security and compliance needs.
The company's enterprise-grade identity platform is designed to operate across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments, enabling clients to address a wide spectrum of digital identity challenges.
This appointment comes as digital transformation and cyber resilience remain key priorities for both public and private sector organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
